California Armenian Home and the Employee Handbook or lack of?

Employee Handbooks for Healthcare workers is very important as it incorporates laws and regulations that if broken are a liability for the facility in which they work.  Most healthcare facilities have an Employment and Health Care specialty Attorney draw up their handbook along with government provided templates.

Rule #1- Give the family and patient privacy, if you are asked to leave their room you should comply with this privacy request instead of refusing to leave and instead try and call the police on the farmily/resident which is the customer

Rule #2- Do not eavesdrop on family conversations that are none of your business, then repeat them under your terms.

Rule #3-Don't think for a moment you can take photos on the floor or leave your nursing station to visit, cajole and gossip with other stations.

Rule #4-Clean up your appearance and hide all tatoos.  Clean and pressed smocks free of spots and odors.

Rule #5-Be professional at all times, do not blurt out diagnosis about the patient/resident.  You are not a doctor or a Registered Nurse.  LVN bridge to RN is a thing of the past, most legit facilities don't honor the online classes for bridging.

Lastly, never threatened family members with the police and then try to talk to the police (who is Armenian) about how you have been hurt, harmed or feel threatened.  Lying to Workman's Comp is never nice.  Especially when you have never taken a day off from work due to your so-called injuries or left the scene in an ambulance.

Causing trouble is not a good reputation to have in a healthcare community like FRESNO.

For your information you poor little thing with no pull, no clout or brains.

Definition of Employee Handbook:
An employee handbook, sometimes also known as an employee manual or staff handbook, is a book given to employees by an employer. Usually, the employee handbook contains information about company policies and procedures. In the USA it may also form part of an employee’s terms and conditions of employment.  In California all workers are “At will” meaning you can leave anytime and be let go anytime for no reason or just cause.
The employee handbook is an excellent place to bring together employment and job-related information which employees need to know, such as holiday arrangements, company rules and disciplinary and grievance procedures. It can also provide useful source of information to new staff as part of the induction process. A written employee handbook gives clear advice to employees and creates a culture where issues are dealt with fairly and consistently.

When the weeds are gone so will the government audits.  Until then they remain.  Hopefully Yuba Rottenbitch will be able to handle them.  But our sources tell us, Dr. Yuba (snicker giggles) is in WAY over her head.  Poor thing has no friends.  Hopefully she found her retirement home in Croatia, so she can make that $170,000 a year last.  We all know Rottenbitch loves money.
